    Default Tyre Choices

Any up to date opinions on tyre choices please ?

My F430 would have been fitted with P-Zero Rosso originally, seems though that whilst the rears are available, the fronts are not at present.

I've been offered Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, an original fitment tyre and also Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - the Pilot Sport 2S is an original fitment and Ferrari approved, the 4S is not Ferrari approved but is generally considered a better tyre.

The Bridgestone is quite a bit cheaper than then Michelin

What is everyone using nowadays on their cars ? Any thoughts on the performance of either brand - or any others would be appreciated

    Cheers

458's drive beautifully on Michelin, I would try those. Seem to give better steering feel than other brands.

I had a 430 on Bridgestone and was not as keen on that tyre, less communicative particularly at higher speeds.

Great, thanks for the opinions and the link to the other post. I think 4S will be the right choice for me

Not perhaps a direct comparison as I have a 550 but having tried P Zero and Potenza, both of which scared the crap out of me in the wet due to aquaplaning, I have now fitted Michelin Pilots and they are leagues better and more than worth the extra cost.

Everyone agrees that Michelins are the best. I too have Rossos and contacted Pirelli who advised that Rosso directional are suitable for the front if you have Rosso assymetrics on the back.
