Default F355 Crank Position Sensors (TDC)

    Hi All,

I would like to change both crank position sensors on my F355 2.7 - I have done it on an old beemer before and it was an easy job. I'm here to ask if it's as easy as that, my car is a 2.7 so there will be 2 of them (I've been told).

Do I have to take any of the under tray off to get to them and once they've been changed is that it? I suspect the car doesn't need resetting electronically or anything?

    Thanking you in advance, Nick

Two crank sensors on a 2.7.

Access from below and these picture may help you with orientation. Check the gaps and maintain shims, otherwise no setting required. Before replacing you may wish to check for oil and dirt build up on the face of the sensor which could cause sensing problems.

Are they the same as on the 348; look very similar?

Had to change mine last year; 40 each from the Kia dealer (would that get points off in a concourse?? Just teasing, immaculate engine, don’t know how you get it like that!)

Thanks a lot Terry, the pics are very useful! Do you have to remove any of the under tray to get to them?

    Thanks again.
