    Default Car transport to Itlay

    Dear All

We are planning our dream trip to the Alps. Due to time issues, we can't drive the cars there so we are looking to have them transported.

I have had a quote from www.mnbtransport.com to get 4 cars to Turin for EUR 1,000 per car, one way. I got this recommendation from the thread on the trip to Italy.

Are there any other local/European companies you guys can suggest?

Any transport company based in the UK is suggesting ludicrous prices.

We're happy to be flexible about where we get taken to (France, Italy, Switzerland).

We're quite happy for it to uncovered transport, the cheaper the better as long as it is all correct insured.

    Thank you.

I have tried numerous places. Best price I got was £1300. But that was one car only and delivered to Maranello. Will be cheaper with four.

Mnb couldn’t do it at all on the date I wanted.

I doubt you'll beat MNB's price for covered. Not sure if they ship the Maseratis but if you can find out from a dealer who it is then they do uncovered and I'd expect it would be cheaper

Silly question, but which dealer should I be calling for the info?

Thank you very much. Who did you get that quote from?

1300 was through Shipleyís. I would book them, but they donít disclose details until you book which Iím not happy about. I canít seem to locate him through here or other similar sites. He is an ex foc group organiser in the west mids. Owns a 348 spider. Canít get any contact information for him!

There is a train from Dusseldorf to Verona. However, anything 430 onwards wont fit on the train as too wide.

1000 euros per car is excellent value. If I could get it for that I would book in a heartbeat.

Weirdly MNB can now do the date I want. Its not the cheapest quote (more than the Ä1000 quoted above; but then mine is for just one car). It looks a quality outfit and others on here have used and recommended them, so im going to book. Going to deliver to my hotel in Maranello. Im going to fly in which will be much quicker and more relaxing. Then going to spend my time in Italy with it and then have a nice drive home through some passes. Always wanted to do it and cant wait!

Ill do a little report on it when im back which might have useful info for others.
